Trump Invites Loved Ones of Shot Guard Soldiers to the White House
Former President Donald Trump revealed on Sunday that he has invited the loved ones of a Guard member fatally shot last week to attend the presidential home.
He mentioned that he spoke to her family and they were “heartbroken”.

US army specialist Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a attack on last Wednesday in Washington DC.
Her colleague, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, is still in the hospital in critical condition.
Vigils across West Virginia have been held in their memory.

The commander-in-chief stated he’s talked about a visit to the White House for the families of both individuals of the state Guard.
“I said: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a difficult moment, arrive at the White House. We’re going to honor her,” the president informed reporters. “And likewise with Andrew, no matter the outcome.”
Public Reaction
Community members assembled over the past few days at Webster County high school in the state to honor Beckstrom.
Both they had been serving with the military unit as part of the president’s national effort to assist policing efforts in Washington DC.
Paying Tribute to Beckstrom
“Sarah was the individual that teachers hoped for. She conducted herself with inner fortitude, a warm expression and a upbeat demeanor that inspired those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the leader of her alma mater, informed the press. “She was kind, caring and always ready to assist people.”
Memorial arrangements for Beckstrom are in the process of planning.
Judicial Measures and Policy Revisions
Authorities have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder while armed.
The event caused the Trump administration to halt asylum processing and cease granting entry permits to owners of travel documents.
Condition of Andrew Wolfe
Wolfe, a native of Martinsburg, enlisted in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman high school, per the Associated Press.
He continues to receive treatment and is “battling to survive”, the state’s governor Morrisey said on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.
Attorney general Pam Bondi told Fox News Sunday that she aimed to visit his relatives.
Memory of Sarah Beckstrom
Sarah, from Summersville, graduated from Webster County High in June 2023 and joined the military shortly after, working as a law enforcement officer with distinction, per the military.
“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had fortitude,” the governor told the gathering at the vigil. “Though her life was cut short, she has created a legacy that’s going to endure.”
