Netflix Casts Perfect Performer for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t take place until the next season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has just been cast.
The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bon Clay. Bon Clay can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve made contact with with their right hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that figure re-envisioned as non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action show, differing from the source material and animated series.
Escola is joined by multiple new cast members tasked with bringing the organization to the screen, featuring chief Mr. 0, brought to life by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
Though Bon Clay is a major member of Baroque Works, the character will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering the second season likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this represents a significant shift in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest additional alterations to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the part. Along with their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.
The platform’s adapted One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10, 2026.
